The Impeachment Trial in the Senate determines greatly the future course of our country.

There is a lot at stake for us as Americans and our nation.

Rep. Adam Schiff and the Congressional side have presented clearly and completely the evidence supporting the Articles of Impeachment regarding President Donald Trump.

The president's attorneys have not addressed the evidence presented nor the substance and issues brought forth.

We Americans must demand that witnesses be heard during this Impeachment Trial, and documents still being sought be provided so that we the American people know all the truth.

Chief Justice John Roberts, in his role as the Trial Judge in the Impeachment Trial, can order for the witnesses to be heard and the documents to be provided.

Americans are still waiting to hear the testimony from witnesses that the House of Representatives has subpoenaed last year and read the documents that the House of Representatives has also subpoenaed.

The witnesses include former National Security Advisor John Bolton, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and his aide, Robert Blair, and Rudy Giuliani.

Rep. Adam Schiff's eloquent, incisive, and deeply powerful closing argument calls on all of us as Americans to honor the Constitution and to exercise our belief in a form of government in which the values of right and truth are pre-eminent and matter.

Congressman Schiff stated, "Because in America, right matters. Truth matters."

"If not, no Constitution can protect us."

"If not, we are lost."

One is reminded of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose Birthday we celebrated this week.  He often quoted William Cullen Bryant's, "Truth crushed to earth will rise again."  It is our hope that truth will arise in the current proceedings!

Congressman Schiff's patriotic call must be heeded.

The truth still does matter.

The future of our nation matters.
