The City of Durban and Essence Magazine hosted visitors from around the world. The post also notes other films and community events.
Amid the excitement of the opening of Actor & Humanitarian Danny Glover's "93 Days," a Nollywood produced film, the Golden State Warriors are invited to attend San Francisco Black Film Festival XIX, June 15-18 with films from around the world to entertain, educate, enlighten and engage. Wright Enterprises' Jackie Wright, a first time filmmaker has a film co-directed with Jack LiVolsi in the festival, "Love Separated in Life...Love Reunited in Honor," that screens at the Marines Memorial Hotel, Sunday, June 18th during a "Tribute to Veterans & Fathers," 3:45 p.m. The screening to include other films, begins at 2:00 p.m. Marines Memorial Hotel is located at 609 Sutter Street in San Francisco. Following the successful Wednesday June 14 packed standing room only Media Briefing & VIP Reception at the San Francisco Veterans Building, Opening Night for San Francisco Film Festival XIX is ďAn Intimate Night with Danny Glover, synchronizing with the spirit and theme of the festivalís multicultural mission to create a platform for emerging filmmakers to engage established artists.
