San Francisco Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Doris Ward was remembered at the Delancey Street Foundation Theater Saturday, May 19, 2018. The Black San Francisco Board of Supervisors President, who passed away in April, was a strong advocate for racial and economic justice. In January, The chapter's

workforce development employment and training Program was renamed in honor of Ward. Previously named "Bridging the Generations Workforce Development Employment and Training Program, It was created by member Jackie Wright in 2011. The first project under Ward's name will be the "Brand Ambassador" project with the San Francisco Black Film Festival, June 14-17.
