Make sure you vote!

For voters in the City and County of San Francisco, the San Francisco Department of Elections has organized its operations to make it easy and convenient for voters.

The Department of Elections is responsible for the smooth operations of all the polling stations on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd.

It has also been receiving and processing the mail-in ballots which have been arriving in large numbers daily since October.

To protect the health of voters wishing to obtain in-person voting services, the San Francisco Department of Elections also has been operating a large outdoor Voting Center near City Hall.

The Voting Center is located outside the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, 99 Grove Street (between Polk Street and Larkin Street).

Voters can bring the envelopes containing their ballots to the Voting Center, and drop them into the red voting boxes.  The Voting Center is fully staffed by employees of the San Francisco Department of Elections, who are very helpful.

Mr. John Arntz, the Director of the San Francisco Department of Elections, when asked how the voting has been thus far, stated: "Voting has been consistent since the early voting period began on October 5.  We are looking at possibly the HIGHEST turnout in San Francisco history."

Mr. Arntz also stated: "267,000 ballots (were) received as of October 29.  An average of 9,000 ballots (were) received in the mail (daily), and 4,000 delivered to ballot drop-off stations."
