FOR PUTTING ME IN TOUCH AGAIN WITH JERRI LANGE
Another beautiful lady in her 90's, I was able to chat with Ms. Lange last week and reminisce about the time the San Francisco Black Film Festival honored the Lange Family, from mother Jerri Lange, to sons director/actor Michael (now deceased) and director/actor/producer Ted of "Love Boat Fame." In the small world category at the presentation which also honored entertainment business family Barry Shabaka Henley and his wife Paulina Sahagun, we found out that Shabaka, was a student of Jerri Lange at SF State University. He said she inspired him to follow his dream. What a surprise for them to meet again in a space of honor from the San Francisco Black Film Festival.

Thanks to Lindiwe Diamini, board member of the Kunene Museum and Foundation in South Africa for sharing a moment in time with the beloved Zulu King in the community while dressed in Western attire acknowledging his heritage and culture with other Zulu warriors. Ms. Diamini, a classical vocalist, joined Mrs. Mathabo Kunene for the International Pop Up Reception at San Francisco's historic Felton Institute headed by CEO Al Gilbert.
