Mayor London N. Breed and the Department of Public Health (DPH), announced today that in accordance with state and federal guidance, all people age 50 and over are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. This significant expansion in vaccine eligibility comes as the City approaches an important milestone in its unprecedented vaccination effort: nearly half of people in San Francisco age 16 and over have now received at least one dose of the vaccine. The vaccine is not yet approved by the FDA for children under 16.
